Elizabeth "Betty" J. Nowalinski

October 26, 1934— November 4, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth J. Nowalinski (Betty), 91, of Whiting, New Jersey, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Betty lived a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to her family.

First and foremost, Betty was a beloved mother who always put her children first. She began her career as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone and later worked part-time at a newspaper and a bank, eventually serving as an associate at Dress Barn for many years. She was known for her kind heart, her warm smile, and her unwavering faith as a devoted servant of the Lord. Betty’s life was a reflection of her strong faith and her deep love for family and friends.

She is survived by her two younger sisters, Dorothy and Shirley; her loving daughters, Susan and Kathleen; her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Ryan, Colin, and Bradley; her very special great-grandson, Ryder; and many special nieces and nephews. Betty’s love and faith will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s memory to The Salvation Army or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, organizations she faithfully supported throughout her life.
