

Emil “Moose” Vehock age 71 of Toms River died Sunday June 19th after a short illness. He retired from the Department of the Army, Bayonne after 25 years of loyal service. He was a parishioner of St. Justin R. C. Church, a Life member of St. Joseph Council # 4969 Knights of Columbus, a 4th Degree member of the John D. McMahon Assembly, Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Silverton fishing club all of Toms River. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed bowling, playing softball and darts. He was born and raised in the Iron bound section of Newark before moving to Toms River in 1975. Moose was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his wife JoAnn, his son Jason, 4 daughters Jennifer Fortunato, Christine Thomas, Jacquellyn Morales and Victoria Laurenzo, 11 grandchildren Christopher, Destinee’, Juliana, Marina, Ricky, Jordan, Desiree’, Mariah, Julian, Antonio, Giovanni, 3 brothers Joseph, Robert, and Paul, his twin sister Amelia Neri, his sister Sue Najimowski and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 9:30 am Thursday at St. Justin R. C. Church, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
