Frank Charles Fries

Frank Charles Fries, 91, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus, NJ. Born in the Bronx, NY, Frank lived in Astoria Queens for many years before moving to Toms River in 1991. Frank was a veteran of the US Navy having served during World War II. He was a maintenance supervisor for over 40 years with Con Edison in New York City, NY retiring in 1990.

Frank was predeceased by his wife Cecilia. He is survived by three daughters; Susan M. Fries and her friend Mary Jane Clarke of Bogota, NJ, Cathy J. Tunstall and her husband Dennis W. of Lake Wales, FL, and Bonni Anne Franz of Astoria, Queens. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Frank C. Martinez and Brian G. Martinez.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday January 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be private with entombment to be at a later date at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey.
