Franklin M. Phillips, 61, of Toms River, passed away on Thursday August 23, 2018. Born in Passaic, he was raised in Paramus and lived in Normandy Beach and Brielle before moving to Toms River more than 20 years ago. Franklin was a computer programming supervisor of operations for NJ Natural Resources for 10 years and with the love to create and build he spent a lot of time as an independent contractor. He was a devoted son and loved all sports especially baseball (Yankees).
Franklin was predeceased by his father Franklin and his step son Robert J. Kolibas. He is survived by his mother Althea Phillips; his daughter Michelle M. Phillips; his granddaughter Trinity; and his two sisters, Barbara P. Gangale (John) and Carol D. Marino (Louis); four nieces, Elizabeth, Margaret, Kate, and Sarah; one nephew Alex; and one great niece Caitlyn and one great nephew Joshua.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday Sept. 1, 2018 from 2-6 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 PM. Cremation will be private. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.quinn-hoppingfh.com.
