Gatino Louis "Tom" Mollo, 87, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ under the care of Meridian Hospice. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Tom had lived in Ocean Beach, NJ, before moving to Toms River, four years ago. Tom was a Printer with Gannett for 40 years retiring in 1993.
Tom enjoyed going to Florida for 25 years in the winters. Most importantly Tom loved crabbing, fishing and boating with his grandchildren, always baiting the hooks as they didn't like touching the bait, untangling many fishing lines with a smile, playing cards with them and so much laughter that will be missed without him.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Louise Mollo and is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Dorothea "Joyce" (Lacosta).
Cremation will be private under the direction of Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in Toms name can be made to Hackensack Meridian Hospice, Brick, NJ., or the charity of your choice.
