Gloria R. Lockowitz, 97, died on September 22, 2026. Born on January 8, 1929, in Jersey City, NJ, Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Mary Ferrainolo. She later made her home in Brick, New Jersey.
Gloria had previously lived in Fairview, Ridgefield, and Toms River before moving to Brick in 2009. Throughout her life, she was known for a steady devotion to those she loved, offering kindness with a quiet grace and a compassionate presence that brought comfort to family and friends alike.
Gloria worked as an Auto Processor with Sony in Paramus for 15 years, retiring 32 years ago. Her life reflected a generous spirit and a deep sense of care for others—qualities that were evident both in her daily commitments and in the way she remained attentive to the people around her.
Gloria was married to the love of her life, Harold, who predeceased her in 2001. She is survived by her loving daughter Kim Giordano and her husband Michael; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Katelyn) and Claudia (Robert); and her great granddaughter Bridget. Gloria was predeceased by her brother, Ralph, and sisters Celeste and Madeline.
Gloria found enjoyment in readings, word puzzles, watching Yankee baseball games, and old movies—simple pleasures that suited her thoughtful nature and the warmth she shared so readily.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 4-8 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 12 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River with interment to follow to Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
