

Helen Kowalski, 96, of Toms River passed away on Saturday June 1st, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Jersey City and later moved to Toms River in 1978. Helen was employed by Western Electric in Kearney, NJ for 38 years, retiring in 1978. She was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township, Polish American Club of Berkeley Township and Western Electric Retirees. Surviving are her son Ted Kuntz of Whiting, NJ, granddaughter Victoria and husband Robert Shanahan of Midland Park, NJ, great grandchildren Jennifer, Megan and Michael, great great grandson Calvin, niece Barbara Kilianski of Toms River, step-son Paul and wife Elaine Kowalski & family of Jackson, NJ and step-daughter Christine Williams and family of Cranford, NJ. Visitation will be Tuesday June 4th, 2013 from 1-4pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 5th, 2013 at 9:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township, NJ.
