John “Jack” Cronin age 94 of Holiday City South, Berkeley Twp. died Tuesday February 28th. Jack was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy and was in the 1st wave to storm the beaches of Normandy. He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R. C. Church, Berkeley Twp. He enjoyed dancing with his favorite partner Angie. Jack was born and lived most of his life in Brooklyn before moving to Holiday City South 16 years ago. Surviving are his wife of 35 years Angela, 2 sons Gerard Cronin and John Cronin, 4 stepchildren Geri Ferguson, Carol Castro, Peter Castro and Mary Castro, 6 grandchildren Stephen, Kristie, Peter Matthew, Stephanie, Michael and Angela. Visiting will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 9:30 am Saturday at St. Maximilian Kolbe R. C. Church, Berkeley Twp. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
