James N. Guido Sr.

James N. Guido Sr., 84, passed away on Thursday December 23, 2020 shortly after being released from RW Barnabus Health in Toms River, NJ. He was born on May 8, 1936 in Lakewood, NJ. He was the son of Samuel Frank Guido and Rose Cittadina.

James joined the US Army and served from 1957 – 1959. Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life Julia Garafine and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 8, 2021. They lived in Lakewood and Toms River, NJ.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Eugene (Gaylord), Angelo and Samuel as well as his beautiful granddaughter Deanna.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his loving son, James Guido Jr of Toms River, his loving twin daughters Denise and her husband Donald of Brick, and Darlene and her husband Walter of Strausstown, PA and loving daughter Donna and her husband Dean of Toms River. Four wonderful grandchildren Donald, Christopher, Mikayla and Amanda; his great-grandson, Jeffrey; as well as his only loving sister Fran and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 29, 2020 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am. Entombment and Military Honors will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park 1722 Silverton Rd Toms River, NJ 08753.
