Jeffrey Bryan Friedman, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, November 20,2018. Jeff was born and raised in Perth Amboy and moved to Toms River in 2002. Jeff first worked at the News Tribune in Perth Amboy and continued working in the newspaper field until his retirement from the Asbury Park Press in 2017. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed cruising and taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
He is predeceased by son Kevin Irizarry and brother David Friedman. He is survived by his wife Joan, son Carlos Irizarry, daughter Sharon Drahos and son-in-law Robert, and daughter-in-law Michelle Irizarry, seven grandchildren: Jason Nagy, Tara Fedor Sosa, Shane, Christina, and Montana Irizarry, Kayla and Kevin Drahos, six great-grandchildren: Nicole, Giana, Lily, Jordan, Sadie and Riley, and a nephew, Richard Friedman.
Service will be held on Monday, November 26,2018 at 11:00 am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home , 26 Mule Road in Toms River followed by burial at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
