Jeffrey Gross

Jeffrey Gross, 65, of Toms River, NJ passed away at his home on Thursday August 19, 2021 after fighting a courageous battle with leukemia. Jeff was born and raised in Jersey City until moving to Toms River 25 years ago. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s Prep High School and St. Peter’s University, both in Jersey City. He worked as a probation officer in Monmouth County for 23 years until retiring in June 2021. Jeff was an active member and assisted with many charitable events with the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh. He was a champion weight lifter and a gym enthusiast. He was an avid Los Angeles Rams football fan and San Francisco Giants baseball fan. He loved Mrs. Walkers ice cream.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents William and Kathryn Gross and his brother William “Billy” Gross. He is survived by his nephew Billy Gross of Jersey City and his long-time love Robyn O’Brien Daly of Toms River.

Jeff's award winning smile and kind heart endured him to everyone he met and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday August 25, 2021 from 2 to 6 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755 where a funeral service will be celebrated at 5:30 pm.
