John Carfagno, 90, of Brick NJ, passed away Friday January 21st. Born and raised in the Silver Lake section of Belleville NJ, John was the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters. John later moved to Montville NJ were he raised his family.
In his early years, John was employed with Tung-Sol Factory in East Orange. He later pursued his own business opening JC’s Sub Shop in Boonton NJ. He later retired and moved to Manchester with his beautiful wife, Jenny, who he adored.
John enjoyed golfing, bowling and bocce ball where he played in a league in his community. He also had a great passion for classic cars. John was one of the biggest NY Yankee fans, never missing a game since 1938. He was an avid listener of Big Band and his all-time favorite Frank Sinatra.
John is pre-deceased by his loving wife Jennie of 69 years and his children, Linda Wisnieski and her husband Michael, Ronald Carfagno, Jack Carfagno and his wife Cheryl, Glen Carfagno and is pre-deceased by his son Richard Carfagno. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757.
