John J. “Jack” Lynch, 86, of the Holiday City South section of Berkeley Township passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Jack lived in North Brunswick, NJ for over 25 years before moving to Holiday City in 2003. He was a veteran of the US Army. Jack was a retired maintenance mechanic for the NJ Turnpike Authority. He was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church and member of both the American Legion Post 129 and VFW Post #10185. Jack had a true love for sports and could be found every Saturday in the fall rooting on his beloved Notre Dame football team. He lived to watch his cherished grandchildren play sports. He was their biggest fan. He was larger than life and would light up the room. He touched the hearts of everyone he met. Anyone who knew him loved him.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Anita Capobianco Lynch; his son Jeffrey and his wife Cheryl of Bedford, NY; two daughters, Carrie Goodman and her husband Randy of Cape May Courthouse, NJ and Jacqueline Mauro and her husband Darren of Howell, NJ and also his six grandsons, Joseph, Matthew, Nicholas, Anthony, Jeffrey and Ryan. He is also survived by his niece, Nancy Adams and her husband John, along with their three children, Erica, Johnny, and Ashley and her son Ashton; lastly his godson, John Bastardo and wife Susan and their children Amanda and Johnny and late daughter, Elise.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 14, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757.
