John T. "Jack" Meehan

John T. “Jack” Meehan age 84 of Holiday Heights, Berkeley Twp. passed away Wednesday April 3rd. Jack worked for Western Electric, Kearney and then for AT&T at 195 Broadway, Manhattan before retiring after 34 years. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. Jack was a member of the AT&T Pioneers of America and the Western Electric Retired Employees Association. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Howell before moving to Holiday Heights in 2001. Surviving are his wife of 47 years Joan, 3 children Rev. Bruce Clark and his wife JoAnn of Largo, Fl, Cheryl Britton and her husband Brian of Jackson and Michael Meehan and his wife Emkarr of Short Hills, 5 grandchildren Joseph, Diana, Brendan, Danielle and Audrey. Visiting will be Sunday from 1-5 PM at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. A funeral service will be held 11:45 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
