Joseph G Jerusa

Joseph G. Jerusa, 85, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday August 11th, 2013 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Easton, PA, he resided in Staten Island prior to moving to Toms River in 1991. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, serving from 1946-1948 and worked as a bus driver for Mabstoa in New York for over 20 years. He was a member of the Holiday City West Bocce Club and enjoyed reading, traveling and history. Joseph was predeceased by his son Joseph, grandson Vincent, sisters Sara Warner, Josephine Burns, Rose Nervegna, Carmella Poidomani and Nancy DeFina. Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years Marie, daughter Joann and husband Peter Buer of Boston, MA, grandchildren Tiffani, Peter, Scarlett, Joseph Daniel and Emily. Visitation will be Thursday August 15th, 2013 from 1-5pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday August 16th, 2013 at 10am at St. Joseph Church in Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
