Words can not express our sorrow on hearing of Uncle Joe’s passing. We pray for the Kelly and Kovalick families for our Lord’s peace and grace. We will miss him dearly and were blessed to know him. We know God has a better plan and He has called him home. I can already see him working alongside my dad on something up there. Oh how great that would be, like old times! Our memories of Uncle Joe are truly joyous . He would always bring a smile to your face . He was a man that we all strive to be- someone with a kind heart and spirit, that always had time for you. He was a gentle man who was a joy to talk to. We will miss sharing a cup of coffee (black of course) and sharing things about family, life and football. We’ll miss him asking what the kids are up to and when their next game is, then showing up on the sidelines to watch them play. He had a great way of making you laugh and just always put life in perspective. Time seemed to stand still speaking to him, because he sincerely cared and listened. What makes a man is not his accomplishments, but the legacy he leaves behind. This encapsulates Uncle Joe. We have a lot to learn from him. We love you, and will always keep you close in our hearts. Until we meet again on the other side, Love always, Dean, Marianne, Kaylie, Abbie (and Toby).

Thank you for teaching me
To be a gentleman,
To respect women,
To be a man of integrity,
To take responsibility,
To work hard,
To listen respectfully and disagree politely
To have strength when you are weak
To love others
And to love god

I know you are at peace and looking over my shoulder as I write this... I know you are free of pain and roaming freely in god's light... I know you will follow us all, and you will be there when we talk to you... you are loved by many and by family the most... I want to thank you for the greatest gift of all, your name... I will pass it on proudly, and they will know you were the best of all...

Love your son,

Joseph Kelly Jr
