Joseph Albert Roventini, Sr.

Joseph Albert Roventini, Sr., 75, was born on March 30, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, and passed away on May 19, 2026 at the HMH Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. He was a resident of Toms River, New Jersey since 2014.

Raised in Brooklyn, Joseph later relocated to Jackson, NJ, where he raised his family. Throughout his life, he was known for a steady devotion to those he loved, offering his time and care with a quiet selflessness that asked for little in return. His gentle way and loyal presence were a comfort and strength to family and friends alike.

Joseph served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He built a hard-working career with the United States Post Office, retiring as the Postmaster at the Jackson, NJ Branch—work he approached with dedication, reliability, and pride in serving his community.

In his personal time, Joseph found enjoyment in the thoughtful pleasures that suited his patient nature. He was a licensed casino dealer who enjoyed playing cards with friends. He also loved reading and puzzles—pastimes that reflected his steady focus and appreciation for quiet moments well spent. Joseph cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and family.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Roventini; his son, Joseph A. Roventini, Jr.; his daughter, Dina Tilker (Ryan); his brothers, Robert Roventini (Elizabeth), Albert Roventini (Dina), and Michael Roventini; his sister, Anne Marie Pinizzotto (Tom); and his grandchildren, Brayden Roventini, Taylor Roventini, and Landon Tilker; his dear in-laws, Raymond Somerville (Debbie) and Donna Somerville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A prayer prayer service will be offered at 8:00 p.m.
