

Joseph B. Tredo, Jr., 90, of Toms River, passed away at home on Thursday November 7, 2024 while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City to Joseph and Rose, he lived in Bayonne, NJ for 43 years before retiring and moving to Holiday City West 25 years ago. He worked at Acme, Colgate and retired from Fragrance Resources where he worked as a perfume compounder. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River.
Joe was very active in the St. Vincent’s Boy Scouts, coached Pop Warner football and was an NJFOA official for over 35 years. He also was a lifetime member BPOE Toms River Elks Lodge 1875. He loved fishing, hunting, photography, Twin County Rod and Gun Club, dancing, gardening and cruising having been on 29 cruises.
Joe was predeceased by his siblings Dolores, Robert and Richard. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Barbara; his children Christine and husband David, Joanne and husband Marcial, Bobbie Ann and husband Joe and Thomas and his partner Jody; his brother Ronald and his wife Edith; his grandchildren Stephanie, Taylor Rose, Rachel, Nicholas, Tucker, Jimmy, Sophie and Lily and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday November 10, 2024 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 pm.
