Josephine Adamo, 85, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Monday July 25, 2016 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Queens, NY for 35 years before moving to Whiting, NJ in 2013. Josephine was a supervisor for Equitable Life Insurance Company for over 30 years retiring in 1996.
Josephine was predeceased by her husband John Adamo; her sister, Helen Amato and her three brothers, Nick, Angelo and Tony Cifarelli. She is survived by her son John Adamo and his wife Lori; two grandchildren, John III and Melaina Adamo; three sister, Jackie Sangiaro, Anne Onarato and Mary Grasso; two brothers, Frank and Carlo Cifarelli and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will be celebrated at 6:30 PM.Cremation will be private. Burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.
