

Josephine Palange, age 95, of Toms River, New Jersey entered eternal life to be with her loving husband, Ed on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Jersey City to the late Daniel and Vincenzina DeMarco, Josephine attended Lincoln High School and was a member of All Saints Parish and later St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Jersey City. Upon her graduation from High School, she worked as a bookkeeper at the Provident Savings Bank where she met her future sister-law , Elvera, who introduced her to her brother Edward, who would become her husband.
In 1969, she and her family moved to Ridgefield Park, NJ. She was an active parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Parish and school. In 2005 Josephine and her husband moved to Toms River where they were active in many community activities. She was an avid reader and together with her husband loved cruising. Retirement finally provided the opportunity to indulge in this passion in traveling to Alaska, several Caribbean adventures, a transit of the Panama Canal and the east coast of Canada.
Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She provided love and comfort to not only her own family, but to her many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful cook, had a great sense of humor and was always happy and positive. She enjoyed life and being with her family.
Josephine was predeceased by her husband Edward and her three sisters: Anna Maria (infant), Ann (Murawinski) and Frances (Honey Koerner). She is survived by her sister-in-law, Elvera, her son, Edward and daughter-in-law Linda, daughter Joanne and son-in-law John, six grandchildren Edward (Jessica), Erica (John), David (Erin), John (Kaetlin), Michael (Jacqueline) and Michael (Olivia), as well as eight great grandchildren, Angelina, Ava, Jacob, Michaela, Lily, Edward, John and Hunter and many nieces and nephews.
She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Her viewing will be held on Sunday February 4, 2024 Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ from 3 to 7pm. A Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St Maximillian Kolbe Church, 130 St Maximillian Lane, Toms River NJ, 10 AM on February 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM. She will be interred with her beloved husband at St Joseph Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ, immediately following her Requiem.
