Kathryn Bender, age 92, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born in Tamaqua, Pa to the late Jack and Lorraine Jacquet, Kay moved to East Orange and Lanoka Harbor before retiring to Toms River 19 years ago. She was a Case Worker with the Ocean County Child Services, Toms River, NJ.
Kay enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, playing bingo, crocheting and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Kay was predeceased by her first husband Louis and her second husband William, her son in law Victor Facchiano and her daughter in law Marianna Bender and her grandson Louis Facchiano. Surviving are her two loving children; daughter Kathryn Facchiano, son Louis and her two grandchildren; Nicole Stefanelli (Gerard) and LouAnn Bender. Also surviving are her three great grandchildren; Gerard, Dante and Gianna.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9 am to 11 am at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, with services to begin at 10:30 am. in lieu of flowers donations in Kays name can be made to the Special Olympics by visiting https://support.specialolympics.org
