Lawrence J. D'Errico, 79, passed away on October 4, 2026. Born on February 20, 1947, in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Charles and Anne D'Errico. Lawrence was a graduate of Lodi High School and spent his life rooted in Lodi, New Jersey, a place that shaped and reflected his steady devotion to family, community, and home.
A proud United States Air Force Veteran, Lawrence served during the Vietnam War as a Crew Chief on a B-52 bomber aircraft. His service spoke to a quiet bravery and steadfast loyalty—qualities that continued to define him long after his military years. He went on to build a distinguished career as an Aerospace Engineer with Bendix-Allied Signal in Teterboro, New Jersey, where he worked for 20 years. Later, with the same honest diligence and thoughtful care he brought to every part of life, he owned and operated SPC Consultants in Lodi, New Jersey, working as a Computer Specialist.
Lawrence met his beautiful bride at the age of 10, and together they shared 59 years of marriage—an enduring partnership marked by devotion, kindness, and a selfless commitment to one another. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Noraida D'Errico; his daughter, Melissa Gerber; and his five grandchildren: Daniel D'Errico, Joseph O'Dowd, Jason D'Errico Jr., Giovanna D'Errico, Dominic D'Errico and his sister Cynthia Rodriguez To those who knew him best, Lawrence was deeply beloved and cherished, a man whose steady presence, thoughtful nature, and kind-hearted spirit made others feel supported and seen.
Music was one of Lawrence’s great joys. He loved playing the saxophone, guitar, and organ, and he performed with the Andantes Band for many years. He also treasured time in his recording studio, where his patience and care could be heard in every note. Beyond music, he enjoyed fishing, boating, going to the casino, hunting, and traveling—simple pleasures made meaningful by the company he kept and the love he carried for his family.
A Celebration of Lawrence's life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ. Services will begin promptly at 12 followed by inurnment at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
