Lawrence George Wells

Lawrence George Wells, 71, passed away on August 5, 2026 at the HMH Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, NJ. Born on December 19, 1954, in Hackensack, New Jersey, Lawrence was a son of the late Alfred Ernest Wells, Sr. and the late Elizabeth May Wells.

Raised in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, Lawrence later made his home in Cliffwood Beach, Keyport, New Jersey. He was a 1972 graduate of Hackensack High School, and throughout his life he carried a steady wisdom—quietly earned, thoughtfully shared—often delivered with a touch of humor that put others at ease.

Prior to his retirement, Lawrence worked as a Machinist with Adhesive Films Incorporated in Pinebrook, New Jersey. He was respected for the care he brought to his work and remembered, above all, as a beloved presence to those who knew him—someone whose warmth and good sense left a lasting impression.

Lawrence is survived by his sister, Elizabeth DeLorenzo (Ronald); his brothers, Richard Wells and Alfred E. Wells, Jr. (Cindy); and his niece, Delia DeLorenzo (Adam). He was predeceased by his nephews, Michael Wells and David Wells.
