Born Lenora Lapinsky, the second child of Anna and Joseph Lapinsky, in Paterson, New Jersey, Lee is survived by her sister, JoAnne (Lapinsky) Kressaty of Arizona; her nephew, Darren Kressaty of Arizona/New Mexico; her niece, Stephanie Kressaty of Illinois; her cousins, Christine Farrell of Texas and Edward and Gina (Pace) Trucil of Hawthorne, New Jersey; and her lifelong friend and “second sister,” Judy (Sherlock) Cavallo of Wayne, New Jersey. Over the decades, Lee made friends who became extended family. In 1981, she met the love of her life, Lloyd Winter, and they married that same year. Lloyd passed away in 2020. Lee is also survived by Lloyd’s children from a previous marriage, Marc Winter and Hallie Greenlee, both of Maryland and her grandchildren Darcy, Lucas, Lilly and Valerie.
A Gentle and Compassionate Spirit
Lee lived as a gentle soul in a world whose troubles she deeply felt. From her earliest years, whenever she found an injured animal or a fallen bird, she would bring it home and care for it until it healed.
Strength, Loyalty, and Love
She was gentle, empathetic, and compassionate, yet no one’s fool. She had a keen instinct about people, something anyone who knew her would readily agree with. Throughout her life, Lee brought love and fierce loyalty to those she held dear.
Peacefully at Rest
Her struggles in life are now over, she is peacefully at rest.
