Lorraine M. Willem (Solewski) 72, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2018 at Holiday Care Center, Berkeley Township, NJ. She was born in Newark, NJ and was a longtime resident of Middletown, NJ before settling into Manchester, NJ in 2005. She was a graduate of Irvington High School and worked at AT&T for nearly two decades.
Lorraine was known by all for her wonderful sense of humor, infectious laughter, and intense love of family. She enjoyed attending family gatherings and being surrounded by her loved ones. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to Lancaster, PA and other sunny locations such as Ocean City, Maryland, Wildwood, and Cape May, NJ. Lorraine was known for randomly quoting Shakespeare and dancing around the house to Motown music. She had a zest for cooking delicious dishes such as chili, pork chops, and lasagna.
She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and John Solewski; her son, Jeffrey Adams, her brother, John Solewski, Jr., and her sister, Carolyn Boulton.
Lorraine is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew and her loving sons and daughters-in-law: Gregory and Amy Adams, Robert Adams, Kenneth and Mary Adams, and Donna Adams.
She is the cherished Babci of 8 grandchildren, whom she adored: Heather, Tyler, and Zachary; Vivian, Violet and Jonathan; and Katelyn and Dylan Adams.
Lorraine is survived by her mother-in-law, Margaret Willem, her sisters-in-law Janet Solewski and Kathleen Willem; and her brothers-in-law, David Boulton and Kenneth Willem. She was a loving aunt to: Christine Geisser, Teri Faccibeni, and John Solewski, Jr.; Sarah and Rachel Boulton; and Nicholas and Christopher Willem, along with being a Great Aunt to: Jaycob Solewski, and Colton and Emree Willem.
A member of St. John’s parish in Lakehurst, NJ, she leaves behind countless cousins, relatives and friends who all miss her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. A Catholic Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM.
