Born in Poland, she immigrated to the United States in 1959 at the age of 14. She resided in Perth Amboy before settling in Beachwood in 1973.
Prior to retiring, she was a medical office manager at Lakewood Surgical, where she worked for 30 years. Luba was a warm and wonderful woman with a serving heart. In every endeavor, Luba gave her all.
A parishioner of St. Stephen's Ukrainian Catholic Church, she was highly involved in many of the church's activities. Luba was instrumental in the building of the new church. In order to help with the cause, Luba began the church's Bingo program. She was also a member of the Holy Rosary Society, in which she was the President for several years. The church was incredibly important to Luba and she held it dear in her heart. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved crabbing, cooking, and passing on family traditions.
Luba was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Frances Lykosh; and her brother, Walter Lykosh.
Surviving is her loving husband of 56 years, Skip; her daughters: Rae Ann Walker and her husband Donald, and Kimberly Robinson and her husband Jay; four grandchildren: Daniel Morelli, Jr., Victoria Walker, Jack Robinson, and Annie Robinson; and her siblings: Christine Palmer, Sophie Czerepka, Stasia LaRosa, and Joseph Lykosh.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4-8PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10AM at St. Stephen's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Toms River. Interment will immediately follow at Cemetery of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption.
