He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Maria Julia; children: Nancy and her husband Miguel and Kristina and her husband Tino; grandchildren: Jessica, Juliana, Christian, Emily, and Jenna; sister-in-law Ondina and her husband Carlos; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his son, Luis Miguel; brothers Anselmo and José Miguel; and his parents, João and Felicidade.
Luis came to the United States from Portugal with his wife in 1970 to build his life and grow his family. He began his 33 year career in pigment manufacturing in DuPont in Newark, NJ and once retired, he enjoyed spending time with his family both here and in Portugal.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday September 1, 2022 at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday September 2, 2022 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08757.
