

June 23rd, 2025. Born in Neptune, NJ, Maddie lived in numerous towns throughout Central and South Jersey, including Brick, Little Egg Harbor, Barnegat, Manahawkin, Ventnor, and Atlantic City.
Maddie earned her bachelor’s degree in visual arts from Stockton University. She
enjoyed working as a waitress and making new friendships most recently at Carmine’s and at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City. She was a talented artist and created countless beautiful
works in various mediums. In addition to her creativity, Maddie had an enormous heart and was always ready to extend a helping hand, a listening ear, a comforting hug, or words of kindness to anyone who needed it. She had an amazing singing voice and loved to dance. A true lover of all animals, especially her baby girl Maya.
Maddie is survived by her adoring parents, mother and father, Kristi Scherb Eberhardt
and Jeffrey Eberhardt, and her loving sister and brother, Emilee and Sean. She was
predeceased by her maternal grandmother Barbara Anne Rogers. Also surviving Maddie is her maternal grandfather, Russ “Poppy” Rogers and his wife Kathy “Mema” Rogers. Paternal
grandmother, Nancy “Nana” Eberhardt and an abundance of loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends, especially lifelong best friends Rachael “Rach” Filarski and Nina Romero Johns. One cannot fail to mention how adored she was by every furry, hoppy, scaly, or winged creature that crossed her path.
A celebration of Maddie’s life will be held on Monday, June 30th, 2025, from 2pm - 4pm
and 7pm - 9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd. Toms River, NJ. A funeral
service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, 9am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ.
As well as receiving beautiful flowers, the family requests donations in Maddie’s name be
made to Hope Sheds Light, www.hopeshedslight.org and the Grounds for Sculpture, www.groundsforsculpture.org
