Margaret Ann Amatel

Margaret A. Amatel, 92, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Friday August 28, 2020 at her home. She was born and raised in Elizabeth and moved to the Silver Ridge Park West section of Berkeley Twp. In 1986 with her mother whom she took care of for 14 years. She was an executive secretary to the terminal manager at Wilson Freight in Elizabeth, NJ for 20 years and retired from Tenco in Linden, NJ in 1990. Margaret was an active member of her clubhouse at Silver Ridge Park West and member of the Women’s Club, Singles Club, Traveling Club and any committee she could get on. She was always involved in her “only’ grandson’s activities, soccer, little league baseball, Pop Warner Football, Track and Field. Nana would never miss any of his events! She was so proud of Tony. She loved traveling with er girlfriends, especially her childhood friend Janie, her girls from the clubhouse and her sisters Kathleen and Franny. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Kathleen Ragazzo and her husband Ralph (Rip); sons James (Susan), Kevin (Lynda) grandson Anthony; sister Frances Tamborino of Bloomington, IN and a brother Francis (Buddy) and his wife Cheryl of Tampa, FL. Neices and nephews Ken Conte (Tammy) of Nashua, NH, Bob (Theresa) of Toms River, Mary Muglia (Pat) of South Plainfield, NJ, Scott Somers (Sandra) of Califon, NJ and Bob Tamborino (Wendy) of Bloomington, IN and also several Great grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Mary Somers, father Frank Somers, Son Charles R Amatel, Sisters Rosemary Slota (John) and Kathleen Conte (Phil).
