Born in Passaic, she resided in Canarsie, Brooklyn for most of her life before settling in Toms River about 35 years ago. She later moved to Tinton Falls, which was her last residence.
Margaret worked as a seamstress in her younger days. After marrying her husband, Ignatzio in 1948, she stayed at home to raise her children and take care of her family. The oldest of nine, she gained her maternal instincts by taking care of her siblings from a young age. Margaret was also an avid fan of Johnny Mathis and was famous for her delicious lasagna. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Ignatzio; her siblings: Gloria Denaro, Frank Valenti, and Jeffrey Valenti.
Surviving are her daughters: Mary Lou Rose and her husband Darren, and Frances Fioto; her granddaughters: Lauren Flor and her husband Christopher, and Natalie Fioto; 3 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Sophia, and Dane; and her siblings: Rosalie Valenti, Lucille Tufano, Louis Valenti, Dominick Valenti, and Canio Valenti.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 11am-1pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A committal service will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
