Marie L. Lorenzo Perrella

Marie L. Perrella, 87, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Born on May 12, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to Pasquale and Catherine (DiNapoli) Lorenzo, she lived in Brooklyn and Long Island before moving to Toms River in 1987.

Mrs. Perrella was a devoted wife and mother and a communicant of the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township. She was also a member of Pro–Life, the Holiday City Chorus and the Toms River Fitness Center.

Mrs. Perrella was predeceased by six brothers (Michael, Anthony, Pasquale, Vincent, Joseph and Frank) and three sisters (Rose, Philomena and Asunta). She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William J. Perrella, Sr. of Toms River, her three sons, William J. Perrella, Jr. of Asbury Park, Henry G. Perrella of Manhattan and Gerard R. Perrella, D.C. of Toms River, her brother, Carmine Lorenzo of Toms River and her sister, Sister Loretta Lorenzo of Hastings on Hudson, NY.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am at the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township. Interment will follow in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
