Marjorie Ann Harney

Marjorie Ann Harney, 83, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Monday August 16, 2021 at Community Medical Center. Born in Neptune, NJ, she lived in Eatontown before moving to Toms River in 1964. She was a graduate of Red Bank High School. Marjorie worked as a cafeteria manager for the Toms River Board of Education for 25 years. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Toms River where her husband Jerry was former head of the ushers and she was head of the lay readers.

Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Jerry Harney Jr. and her grandson Thomas Baxter. She is survived by her daughter Debra Harney; her son Jerry Harney III and his wife Grail; her grandchildren, Kimberly Baynes and her husband Ed, William Baxter and his wife Krystan, Kayla Harney and Jerry Harney IV; her great-grandchildren Quinn Baxter, Sophie Baxter, Henry Baynes and Maeve Baynes.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 – 7 pm on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marjorie’s name to the Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Garden 415 Washington St. Toms River, NJ 08753. A graveside service for Marjorie Harney, Gerald Harney and Thomas Baxter will take place on Saturday September 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Memorial Garden at Christ Episcopal Church 415 Washington St. Toms River, NJ 08753.
