Mary Okal

Mary T. Okal (Tarczynski), 96, of Toms River passed away Monday December 26th, 2011 at Cape Coral Hospital, Florida. Born in Bayonne, NJ she resided in Roselle, NJ prior to moving to Toms River in 1978. She retired from Western Electric in Kearny, where she worked for 34 years, and was a life member of the Western Electric Pioneers Club. She was also a Life Member of the Holiday City at Berkeley First Aid Squad. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years Stephen J. Okal and sister Sophie Jakubowski. Surviving are her daughter Geraldine C. and husband Richard Weiman of Cape Coral, Fl; sister Estelle Kisielewski of Bayonne, NJ; brother Stephen Tarczynski of Scotch Plains, NJ; 3 grandchildren Richard and wife Patricia Weiman of Oakland, NJ, Stephen and wife Katherine Weiman of Erial, NJ and June Ann and husband Joseph DeSalvio of Budd Lake, NJ; 6 great grandchildren Jack, Annabel, Mitchell, Brady, Samantha and Sarah and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday January 2nd, 2012 from 4-8pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday January 3rd, 2012 at 10am at St. Joseph Church Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Toms River, NJ.
