Mary was my grandmother. I knew her as a tough and fierce woman that always did what she could for the people around her. She was a member of the ambulance squad until her 80's and I remember her always being so proud to help her community, and to make a positive difference in the lives of the people around her. I'll try to carry that spirit with me. She always carried herself with a sense of grace and purpose, she was witty and could light up the room with a story.  

Rest in piece, Grandmama. I love you.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I remember the visits in New York and also here, we always enjoyed our times together.
