

Born in Newark, he resided in Toms River before settling in the Holiday City community of Berkeley 16 years ago.
Prior to retiring, Michael was self employed and worked in construction.
Michael loved to cook for his family and made sure to prepare their favorites. He loved fishing on the banks of the lake outside his home, and watching old westerns and singing his favorite country songs. His most favorite past-time was the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren. Watching their activities and being their biggest fan. If you knew Michael, you knew one thing… he smiled with his eyes..
Michael was predeceased by: his parents Thomas and Carmella DeRiggi, and his son Gerard A. DeRiggi.
Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Janet; his 4 children: Thomas DeRiggi and wife Barbara, Michelle Gomez and husband Joseph, Janet DelleFave and husband Mario, Michael F. DeRiggi Jr. and Jean. His beloved 7 Grandchildren; Thomas, Mario, Danielle, Vinnie, Brock, Nico and Matthew, as well as 5 Great Grandchildren. His brother Pasquale DeRiggi and wife Gale. As well as his nieces and nephews.
