

He was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 16, 1947. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Kotik and Mildred (Sosnoski) Kotik. He is survived by his wife, Debra Kotik, three step children, Lisa Keenan and her husband Donny, Valerie McGehee and her husband Ben, Dan Blanchard and his wife Kristen, four step grandchildren, Drew, Reese, Benjamin and Diana. One sister, Doreen Harper and husband Bob, one niece Raina Lukey and nephew Mikah Harper, one step nephew Matt Bowman and niece Jill Dudley.
After graduating from Irvington high school in 1964, he graduated from electronics school. Mike then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He wanted to give Uncle Sam his 2 years of service as he always said. He loved reminiscing about his days in the Army. After his time in the Army he became an electrician with Local 456 out of Perth Amboy, N.J.
Mike was a “foodie”. He loved to eat and enjoy homemade food that his wife, Debra prepared for him. He enjoyed fishing at Round Valley, N. J. and at the intercoastal waterway in Nokomis, Florida.
Mike was a music and record collector of 50’s music and he treasured his record collection and juke box.
He was a strong man, standing 6’4”” and he put up a valiant fight to survive with all his illnesses.
