Mildred Spirito

Mildred Spirito, age 100, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY she moved to New Jersey. She worked at the Continental Can Company in Jersey City where she met her husband Bernard and they married in 1945. She lived in Clifton and Highland Lakes before moving to Toms River 12 years ago.

She enjoyed cooking and was the center of many family gatherings. She was very well-liked by all her friends and people she met.

Mildred was predeceased by her loving husband Bernard in 1978, her brothers, Paul, Frank and Donald Materia and her son in law Frank Cupo. She is survived by her son Bernard and his wife Sandi, her daughter Theresa Cupo, her grandchildren; Sherry Mudrick and her husband Matt, Mark Lasky and his wife Heather her great grandchildren; Lauren, Amanda and Brandon Mudrick, Ryan and Mia Lasky. Also surviving is her brother Lawrence Materia and his wife Barbara and many loving nieces and nephews.
