

Milton P. Smolarek, 88, of Toms River passed away on Thursday January 9th, 2014. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Edison, NJ and Oldwick, NJ prior to moving to Toms River in 1993. Milton was an Army Veteran and member of the Polish American Club in Toms River. He was employed by the Newark Die Company, located in Newark, NJ for over 40 years. He was also an avid Polka Dancer, Boston Red Sox Fan and sporting enthusiast. He was predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn and brothers and sisters John, Stella, Mary, Jennie, Helen and William. Surviving are his son Robert Smolarek of High Bridge, NJ, daughter Susan Girgenti of Phillipsburg, NJ, granddaughter Christina Girgenti of Phillipsburg, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday January 12th, 2014 from 1-5pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Service will be offered at 11am on Monday January 13th, 2014 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
