

Natale A. Vaccaro, 95, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Wednesday August 18, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Nat lived on Staten Island for over 30 years before moving to Toms River 30 years ago. He was a retired longshoreman after having worked over 40 years. Nat was a World War II Navy Veteran who saw action in the Pacific aboard the USS Phoenix. He was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church. Nat loved being barefoot in the sun and vacationing to the islands. He was an avid painter and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City but most of all Nat’s greatest love was his family who were his pride and joy.
Nat was predeceased by his grandson Michael Vaccaro and his son-in-law Thomas Connolly. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Matilda Marino Vaccaro; his son Robert Vaccaro and his wife Joanne of Freehold, NJ; his daughters Donna Connolly of Furlong, PA and Diane Santarpia and her husband Robert of Belle Mead, NJ. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren plus number 9 is on the way! Nat was the last of 11 children to Pietro & Concetta Vaccaro.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday August 22, 2021 from 2 to 7 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 23, 2021 at 12 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church.
