Nicholas Intrieri

Nicholas (Nick) Intrieri of Whiting, NJ, loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 20, 2017. He was 84 years old. Nick was born in Bronx, NY to parents Dominick and Julia (Caruso) Intrieri. He married Dorothy (Dottie) Galasso in the Bronx in 1959 and together they raised four children and have seven grandchildren.

Born and raised in Bronx, NY, resided in Yonkers, NY and retired to Whiting, NJ in 2004.

After graduating from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx, Nick enlisted in the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army before returning home to NY to marry and raise a family.

Nick was a loving, selfless, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great curiosity for the world around him, could fix just about anything, loved his garden and was always there to lend a helping hand.

We thank all of our family and friends who showed their love and affection to him throughout his life. We will miss him forever.

Nick is survived by his wife (and love of his life) Dottie; his daughter, Roe Intrieri and her wife Christine of North Salem, NY and grandchildren Natalie and Juliette; his daughter Regina Zupan and her husband Edward of Mahopac, NY and grandchildren Nikki-Anne, Christina and Rachel; and his daughter Laura Tyls and her husband Chris of Brick, NJ and grandchildren Kaitlyn and Stephen. Nick is survived by his brother, Pat and preceded by his son, Dominick, who passed away in 2001, and his mother Julia who passed away in 2004.
