

Nunzia Farese, 79, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 31, 2025 at her home. Born in Palermo, Sicily, Nunzia had lived in Inverness, Florida for many years before retiring to Toms River four years ago. Nunzia ran their family business for 20 years. She was a big presence in her local church in Florida, Lady of Fatima.
Nunzia enjoyed cooking, gardening and keeping her home warm and welcoming. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her religion was extremely important to her saying the rosary at least twice a day.
She was predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Concetta Ferdico and her sister Rose Benfante. Surviving is her loving husband of 56 years, Carmine, her four children; Graziella Dolce, Concetta Leli and her husband Michael, Giuseppe Farese and his wife Danielle and Filippo Farese and his wife Ariana. Also surviving are her devoted grandchildren; Amanda and her husband Biagio, Joseph and his fiancee Megan, Vincent, Cristian, Isabella, Ava, Carmine, Joseph, Gabriella, Giavanna, Lilianna and her great granddaughter Giovanna, her brother, Enrico Ferdico and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5, 2025 10 am at the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Entombment will follow to The Christ of King Mausoleum, Toms River.

My mother was one of the strongest, bravest, and kindest humans to grace this planet. Without her, I wouldn't be here today, I wouldn't be the person I am, and I wouldn't have the life I have. She was everything to me, and more, and there's no way I could ever quantify the importance she's held in my life.
Mom, you were my first teacher and my biggest supporter. I will miss you every day and will always strive to make you proud.
