It is with a heavy heart that the family of Palma Giuliano, 94, of Toms River, NJ announces her passing after a four-and-a-half month struggle recovering from a stroke, on Tuesday, October 5, 2001 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.

Born in New York, NY, she lived in Flushing, Queens for over 20 years before moving to Toms River in 1993. She was a talented seamstress by trade and worked for many years in the garment industry of New York. In her last position, she helped make designer wedding dresses. A true perfectionist, her attention to detail made her a master of her trade.

Palma enjoyed crocheting, and many in the family have samples of her delicate work. She enjoyed travelling, Atlantic City, dancing (especially square dancing), and crossword puzzles. Always an avid reader, she especially enjoyed biographies of First Ladies and historical fiction. Palma was a consummate cook known for her leg of lamb, eggplant parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, and Sunday sauce with meatballs. Palma was predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years, Philip; two brothers: Anthony and Angelo Genovese; and her sister, Mary Marsala.

Surviving are two daughters: Rosemarie and Agatha and their spouses Andrew Polo and Joseph Andrews; five grandchildren: Cristina Polo, Andrew Polo and wife Erin, Catherine Polo, Paul Regolizio and Stephen Regolizio; a former son-in-law, Gregory Regolizio; three great-grandchildren: Daniella Figueroa, Gio Martin and Caterina Grace Polo; two sisters-in-law: Anna Marino and Margie Giuliano; and many nieces and nephews. Aunt Palma: Sweet memories come back to me from when I was a child. You were always the aunt with the quiet presence. You were someone to look up to. You were a woman's woman of your time, soft spoken and wise. An inspiration. A true lady.
I am blessed to have known you. I will carry you in my heart always. Thank you for being you.
May your family find peace and consolation knowing that you are in the arms of the Lord.

Dear Rosemarie & Andrew, Agatha & Joe, & family.

We want to extend our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your mother and our Aunt. It's hard enough losing one parent, but let alone two parents within a few months of each other. We would be there if we were still living in New York and not in Florida, and if Covid wasn't in the picture. Please find peace in knowing that you were there for your parents.
