

Born in Fairview, NJ on March 29, 1929, he lived in New Jersey for 37 years prior to residing in Suffern, NY for 39 years, then Toms River, NJ for 11 years, before settling in Nyack five years ago.
A veteran of the US Army, Patsy honorably served our country from 1951 to 1953. He was stationed in New Jersey and was deployed to Japan. He earned the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. Upon separation from the Army, he attended Fairleigh-Dickinson University in New Jersey.
Patsy was a Draftsman for the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ, Plant Manager at Melnor Industries in Moonachie , NJ, Plant Manager at Bright Star Industries in Clifton, NJ, and after retiring, he worked as a part-time appliance salesman for Sears in Nanuet, NY, and as a Ranger at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY. He was an avid tennis player, golfer and skier. He also enjoyed playing Ping Pong and Corn Hole, right up until he was incapacitated. He was voted King of Tappan Zee Manor, while residing there.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn (Becar) in 2006. He was also predeceased by his baby brother, James, his father Frank and his mother, Anna (Brignola).
Surviving are his children: son, Thomas Capitelli and his wife, Suzan; son, Craig; and daughter, Karen Fioriti and her husband, James; five grandchildren: Jonathan, Craig, Megan, Sean and Brendan; and his sisters: Christine Sebest, Louise Magarelli, Adele Hutnik and her husband, Raymond, Carolyn Roselle, and MaryAnn Korz; and, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Burial of cremated remains will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ.
