He was born January 12, 1920, in Newark, NJ, and was the son of the late Carmen and Rose Oliva Attanasio. He was a retired machinist with Westinghouse and a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Marian Hill Attanasio, on October 12, 1987, and his second wife, Helen Lattanzi Attanasio on February 1, 2009; a son, Patrick Attanasio, Jr.; and two brothers, Peter Attanasio and Joseph Attanasio.
He is survived by two daughters, Anne Keenan of Statesville and Susan (David) Rocco of New Jersey; a son, John (Linda) Attanasio of New Jersey; 13 grandchildren, Joseph (Karen) Keenan of Troutman, Michael Keenan of Florida, Brian Keenan of Statesville, Michael Rocco and Melissa Rocco both of Brooklyn, Tara Attanasio of Pennsylvania, Tina Attanasio of New Jersey; Teresa, Vanessa and Peter all of Oregon, Patrick, Jessyca and Ashley, all of North Dakota; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Boub of South Carolina and Marian Volz of New Jersey; and a brother, Carmen (Marion) Attanasio, Jr. of Florida.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday July 19, 2015 from 1 to 5 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Toms River, NJ. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 20, 2015 at 11:45 a.m. at Cedar Heights Cemetery in West Milford, NJ.
