Ralph Roy Niggl, Sr.

Ralph Roy Niggl Sr, 66, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023. Ralph was born in Bronx, NY on November 2, 1956 and was raised in Peekskill, NY. Ralph was the youngest son of the late Conrad Sr. and Eleanor (Bohlig) Niggl.

Ralph attended Drum Hill High School in Peekskill, NY and went on to serve as a proud soldier of the United States Army from 1973 to 1977. Ralph owned a deli (Ralph’s Deli) in Peekskill for a short while and began his career at the Montrose VA Medical Center in 1986 and retired in 2013. Ralph and his wife loved the ocean and chose to move near their favorite vacation spot, Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Ralph loved his dogs, enjoyed fishing, old movies, and spending time with his beloved wife, children, and many grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Maureen (McNamara) Niggl; his seven children; Steven Niggl, James Niggl Sr. (Helene), Kimberly White (Christopher), Brian Niggl, Renee Braxton, Amy Tant (Jason), and Ralph Niggl Jr. (Jessica); and nineteen grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Conrad Jr. and Gary Niggl, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. Private cremation to follow.

Ralph was a hardworking man, a loving husband, a wonderful father and a proud grandfather.

He will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
