Born in Doylestown, PA, he resided in Piscataway for most of his life before settling in the Holiday City South community of Berkeley in 1995.
Prior to retiring 1963, Raymond was an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where he was a union member for over 65 years. He honorably served our country during the Korean War in the United States Navy from 1947-1951.
Raymond was happily married to the love of his life, Ruth Ann, for 66 years. They met on a blind date and got married when Ruth Ann graduated high school. They loved to travel and would vacation twice a year, travelling all over the country.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Bonnie Sue Curtis in 1994; and his grandson, Justin Curtis in 1990; and his granddaughter, Carrie Ann Platten in 2018.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 66 years, Ruth Ann; his children: Hope (Louis) Luca, Fred Curtis, Frank (Barbara) Curtis, Cindy (Richard) Hayes, and Bob (Susan) Curtis; 8 grandchildren: Tommy Luca, Raymond Luca, Michelle Reiser, Amber Weaver, Cory Curtis, Crystal Hensal, Connie Miner, and Charlene Moulton; 13 great-grandchildren; and his devoted caretaker, Charity Quarshie.
