Raymond Woods

Raymond G. Woods, 86, of Manchester, NJ passed away on Sunday Sept 5, 2021 after a short illness. Born in New York City, NY, Ray lived in Budd Lake, NJ for over 30 years before moving to Manchester in 2003. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He worked as a computer programmer for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 20 years and then for IBM for 5 years before his retirement.

In his later years, he was a very active member of his community. He was President of the community Dance Club for two years, courier for the local newsletter and became a driver for the neighbors who needed transportation. In his spare time, he loved travelling and spending time with his family wherever they would take him throughout the world.

Ray was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Harrison (nee Woods), his beloved wife of 30 years and mother to his children, Quintina Woods, his step-son Victor Bermudez, and his 2nd wife Patricia.

He is survived by his son Arthur Woods, his daughter/son-in-law, Debra & Andrew Hall and step-daughter/son-in-law, Angel & Ross Grindle. along with his 5 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 9-11 AM on Saturday September 11, 2021 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery 100-399 Mountain Rd. Hackettstown, NJ 07840 at 1:00 PM.
