Richard A. Phillips age 80 of Toms River died Sunday July 29th at home. He was an accountant in Michigan with his own practice, Small Business Assistance, before moving to New Jersey in 1980 where he was the Controller for Kitson Chevrolet, Eatontown before retiring. Richard was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Air Force. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia in 1995, his brother and sister in law Gerald and Joanne Phillips, his 2 sisters Linda Schaible and Joann Phillips and 2 brothers in law Frank Cyrta and John Dmyterko. Surviving is his son Rob, his sister Betty Nash, nieces Noel Nash Parker, Jinae Schmittling, Jacey Baracek, Laurie Buonavolonta and her husband Thomas, Katie Rodriguez and her husband Chris, nephew Geff Phillips and his wife Nancy, Goddaughter Kellly McKenna and his sister in law Barbara Dmyterko. Visiting will be Monday from 4-8 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. A funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
