
Robert “Bob” Stephen Kuhar passed away peacefully in his own home Saturday, August 15th, 2020 at the age of 83. Bob was his own man. Brave, Bold, Kind and Courageous he will always be. He was an unconventional hero to his loved ones! He will remain eternally loved and cherished.
Bob was born September 3, 1936 of mother Mary Tetic and Stephen Kuhar and was raised in Iselin, NJ. Growing up, Bob was baptized Roman Catholic and was appointed as an altar boy. God blessed him with many talents.
In high school, Bob was a football star. Bob later attended automotive technical school in North Jersey. Both Bob and his father had “superpower strength” and went on to become Golden Glove Boxers. At the age of 21, he married his sweetheart, Marybeth Coughlin. In 1957 Bob entered into the United States Army, and was always a proud United States Veteran.
In 1961 Bob and Mary gave birth to a baby girl, Tracy Ann. In 1967, Bob and Mary purchased their dream home together in Jackson, NJ. Bob built a thriving business within the automotive industry. Bob lived bicoastal, in Jackson, New Jersey as well as Punta Gorda, Florida where he owned and managed 5 acres of lush land. Bob even wrestled a Gator and WON!
Mr. Kuhar was also a successful Race Car Driver, he had the need for speed when operating most vehicles. He was also a passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast.
During his retirement years, Bob spent time listening to music while working with classic cars and motorcycles. Tinkering with his collectibles and treasures made him very happy. Bob could build anything and was an icon in repurposing. Bob enjoyed fishing and venturing out to parts unknown. Important to note, Bob was a forever New York Giants fan. Throughout his life, he showed and trained multiple breeds of dogs that he loved and was able to train his furry friends to help others.
Most folks are not aware of Bob’s kindness and support of others. He has touched many lives and will continue to do so in the hearts and souls of many.
He will be greatly missed by his devoted daughter Tracy Ann Kuhar, adored granddaughter Jillian Grace Chandler, son Paul Phillips, Brother Dennis Kuhar and nephews Kevin and Todd.
