Robert Lux

Robert C. Lux, of Toms River, formerly of Clifton, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013. Born in Paterson, Mr. Lux resided in Clifton for most of his life before retiring to Holiday Heights in Toms River 22 years ago. He had been employed as a lithographer with Dobar in New York City before his retirement. Mr. Lux was a United States Navy veteran who served honorably during the Korean War on the Destroyer USS Ammen DD527. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10185 in Toms River, where he was a member of the Honor Guard. Mr. Lux was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Toms River and was on the Code Committee of Holiday Heights in Toms River.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Helen (nee Einhorst); four loving children, Robert Lux and his wife Elaine of Clifton, Nancy Dominguez and her husband Dennis of East Stroudsburg, PA, James Lux and his wife Patty of Clifton, and Maryellen Dabal and her husband Marc of Southlake, TX; his loving grandchildren, Michael Dominguez and his wife, Lauren, Carisa Lux, David Dominguez, Philip Dominguez, Kim Dabal, Eric Lux, Theresa Dabal, Renee Lux and he was known as "Opa" to grandson, Brandon Lux and great-granddaughter, Caylee Navas.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home (www.bizub.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.bizub.com), 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 4 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home (www.dignitymemorial.com/quinn-hopping-funeral-home-toms-river), 26 Mule Road, Toms River. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 from the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home and then 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, 1 St. Maximilian Way, Berkeley Heights. Interment to follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown.
